Dosado, a basic dance step.

Last night we got to celebrate Connor in a very unusual way, square dancing! I can assure you that is one thing I never thought I would do. Now I have...twice. It actually makes for a very fun and laughable evening.

Here is everyone getting their square dance on!

Bow to your corner...Promenade...Now Dosado!
Logan must really have some square dancing skills because she was lucky enough to dance with one of our fine instructors. He spotted her from across the room and knew that she was going be his partner for the night. After 2 hours of dancing they fell in love.

According to his belt, his name is Don.
And just because he is cute, here is my date for the night.

High Tea

This past Friday I had the pleasure of hosting a High Tea for my sister Connor. It was so much fun to honor Connor and think back to my deb season. It is very fun and very busy couples of weeks.

Kyley, Logan, Mimi, and I (along with some other great ladies) decided to continue with our tradition and host a High Tea Party for all the girls. It is always a fun excuse for the girls to wear their hats and gloves and drink tea. Also, we are always looking for a good excuse to use our China, Crystal, and Silver!

Each of the 5 tables had beautiful china and all the necessities for a proper tea party.

We started out with a delicious lunch to include spinach stuffed puff pastry, brie and pear puff pastry, stuffed tomato's, borsin cucumber bites, mini chicken salad sandwiches, and fruit. It was amazing and we were happy to have the Abilene Woman's Club chef do all the preparation for us! After lunch the girls enjoyed petite fours, mini key lime tarts, cake balls, and brownies along with their tea.

We also had some these mini gluten free cupcakes for our three gluten intolerant guest, I thought they turned out so cute!

We knew we wanted the girls to do something fun after lunch and my grandmother, mimi, came up with the most adorable idea. I had pictures of the the three honorees made into puzzles which they raced to put together in teams. They had no idea that the completed puzzles would be pictures of them and a small something to take home. Also, we gave them each an adorable demitasse cup filled with flowers and a recipe for Pot De Creme in Chocolate, to be served in the cups of course.

After the girls and all the guest left we were all ready to sit down and relax! Luckily all the china had been washed and put away so we could celebrate a wonderful party with a refreshing glass of Champagne!

We missed you Logan!!
